Karen Hannay is a registered teacher and ceramic sculptor, with over 30 years teaching and ceramics experience. Karen has taught in Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and Teacher in-service settings.

Karen's passion for working in clay started at high school and after becoming an art teacher, she particularly enjoyed teaching ceramics to her students.  Clay provides a medium that connects her with the natural environment and her artworks are often inspired by a sense of place; sometimes derived from childhood experiences of playing in creeks and the bush of Ferny Grove and Samford.
